Bird Scaping Your Yard

Almost any yard can be transformed to increase its use by wildlife, especially birds. I can develop a plan for the location of water, feeders, and plantings that will bring birds right to your window. In many cases I can undertake the needed work myself, but in many cases the use of an understanding landscaper is needed.

  • Year-round water adds a wonderful touch to any yard and a magnet for birds and other wildlife. A fine spray or slow drip is pleasant to see and hear whether you are in a nearby chaise or flying in for a sip.

  • There are many flowers that can be added to a yard that will attract hummingbirds. These tiny jewels will become part of your summer if you take the needed steps to make your yard attractive to them.
  • Bird feeding can be a year-round treat. The constant motion of Black-capped Chickadees and the bright yellow of the American Goldfinch are but two of the dozens of birds that you can easily attract. Locating bird feeders and arranging them so that the right array of seed is offered requires a bit of planning and experience.
